Gender and Business: when Trentino companies encounter equality

What is meant by " gender equality certification "? The answer may seem very simple, but it is certainly not trivial: a tool that aims to enhance the measures adopted in companies regarding equal growth opportunities, equal pay for equal tasks , policies for managing gender differences, protection of maternity, policies for reconciling private life and work. Lots of topics, no doubt about it, for a single certification, but its impact is not limited only to the walls. of companies that decide to undertake the training course necessary to obtain the certificate.

It is starting from this awareness that the first of six appointments of the GENERamente exhibition opens, with the precise intention of shedding light on how the certification tool represents an advantage not only of an economic nature for businesses, but also for local communities where they are located. The event, which will be held on Wednesday 21 February from 5.30 pm in the Nones Room of Palazzo Benvenuti , will see the participation of different personalities from different professional fields and training, with the aim of encouraging a dialogue between universities and the world of Trentino companies regarding the topic .

Specifically, three exceptional speakers will be guests:

• Barbara Poggio , researcher and teaches Organizational Sociology and Industrial Sociology at the University of Trento and Organizational Sociology at the University of Siena;
• Luigi Tellatin , president of Gruppo Adige Bitumi SPA ;
• Mara Rinner , entrepreneur and business consultant, particularly on female entrepreneurship, gender equality and diversity management in organizations.

The dialogue will be moderated by the entrepreneur Gabriela Mateas , creator and co-curator of the event.

At the end of the meeting there will be a moment of informal refreshments hosted by Palazzo Benvenuti Caffè and Champagne Supernova .
